One of our Members participated at the Photonics West Conference in San Francisco with the helpful support of the student chapter officer travel grant. Besides lessons in leadership and presentation skills, the leadership workshop was a great opportunity to meet chapter members from around the world and learn from their experience in organizing a student chapter. Between the plethora of interesting conference presentations and workshops, the conference passed very quickly. We are looking forward to sending one of our Members to Photonics West at the next opportunity.
